Sang Hwan
작가 상환의 작품은 자신의 반려묘 ‘산토’로부터 시작한다. 작가는 물질만능주의 사회에서 사람들이 놓치고 있는 것이 무엇인가에 대해 반려 동물과 반려인의 관계를 통해 보여준다. 작품에 나오는 개와 고양이들은 마냥 귀엽고 사랑스럽지만은 않다. 야생의 모습이 남아 있으면서도, 주인과 함께한 시간이 그 들 사이의 견고한 공존의 모습을 보여준다. 반려 동물들의 무조건적인 사랑은 우리가 이상과 목표에 대한 욕망으로 가던 길 속에서 놓치고 있는 소중한 것이 무엇인지 돌아보게 한다.
